A gentle game about the mind

The Bus Journey

You’re the driver of your own bus. As you set off, thoughts climb aboard — some kind, some critical, some just plain odd. This is a quiet little game about letting them ride along while you keep steering towards what matters to you. No score. No losing. Just a few minutes of play that happen to teach one of the most freeing ideas in modern psychology.

What is this?

The Bus Journey is a playful way to learn Acceptance and Commitment Therapy — usually shortened to ACT (said like the word “act”). It’s built around a much-loved metaphor: your mind is a bus, your thoughts and feelings are passengers, andyou are the driver. The passengers can be noisy — but they were never meant to steer.

You don’t need to know any of the theory to play. You’ll simply feel the ideas as you drive, and we’ll name them gently along the way.
